A prominent geostrategist by the name of Brahma Chellaney said that the United Kingdom is to blame for the assault on the Indian High Commission that was carried out by pro-Khalistani groups. This statement was made in the midst of growing criticism leveled against the United Kingdom for the attack, which was carried out by pro-Khalistani groups.

“It is ironic that under a Prime Minister who is of Indian origin, UK’s ties with India continue to take a hit, even as Modi has bent over backward to develop tighter ties with UK, including speeding up FTA negotiations. This is ironic because Modi has bent over backward to build closer ties with UK. Chellaney stated in a tweet that the United Kingdom could not avoid responsibility for the storming of the Indian mission. The tweet was shared along with a video that showed pro-Khalistani groups protesting outside the mission. A person is seen climbing up to the podium, taking down the Indian flag, and replacing it with a Khalistani banner. This action can be seen in the video.

On Monday, additional precautions were taken to prevent vandalism at the Indian High Commission, and Scotland Yard took one individual into custody in connection with the incident. India has requested that those responsible for the assault be apprehended and brought to justice by the UK.

Vinay Kwatra, India’s Minister of State for External Affairs, stated that India has submitted a strong protest and made it crystal clear to the British authorities that the Indian High Commission requires sufficient security measures to be implemented. In addition to this, India has called in the most senior British diplomat stationed in Delhi and requested an explanation regarding the “complete absence of security” at the mission.

Shashi Tharoor, a senior leader in the Congress party and a member of parliament, stated that it is disheartening to observe that a friendly administration does not take fundamental police precautions to ensure that incidents of this nature do not occur. “There has already been an attack in Australia, and now there has been an attack in London…are we going to let this happen everywhere?” It is our responsibility to demand it, and then it is the diplomatic responsibility of those governments to provide it,” Tharoor told reporters outside of Parliament. “Our government should now go to all the host governments where there is such a possibility –Australia, Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom and tell them that they must take extra special precautions outside our missions,” Tharoor said.

Sadiq Khan, the Mayor of London, expressed his disapproval of “the violent disorder and vandalism that took place.” He stated, “There is no place in our city for this kind of behavior,” implying that such actions are not tolerated.

Lord Rami Ranger, a British Sikh lord in the House of Lords, expressed the sentiment that the Sikh community is “shocked and disbelieving” at the notion that a small group of misguided individuals could bring shame to such a venerable and patriotic group. “They have also shown total disrespect to Sikh Gurus who paid the supreme sacrifice for their Mother India,” he said. “They have treated them as if they were beneath contempt.”

In the meantime, on Sunday, a group of people who support Khalistan staged an assault on the Indian Consulate in San Francisco, causing damage to the building.
